ZWC has been invited to join the Austerlitz Earth Day Festival activities and will be tabling from 11 am-3 pm at the Saturday, April 18th event, sharing lots of tips and educational information about environmentally friendly ways to live our climate values in Columbia County. The information at our table provides up to date information about recycling, reusing, repairing, repurposing and disposing of waste responsibly such as:
Tips to Slash Your Trash – Reduce Consumption and Waste
Donation Resources- Places to Donate or Shop
Local Tool Libraries/ Refillable locations
Local Food and Performance Venues that encourage BYO (Bring Your Own) Refillable Containers
A Guide to Stretch Your Food Budget (particularly timely in the current economic environment)
Columbia County Waste Management Programs to dispose of Food Waste, Harmful Chemicals, Pollutants, Electronics, Textiles Batteries and Construction Debris to keep them out of the landfills.
